Don’t you love the sound of biting into a fresh, crunchy apple?
October is National Farm to School Month. To celebrate, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is sponsoring the Missouri Crunch Off. You can make your event as big or small as you want. Whatever you choose to do, it will be a lot of fun for the children and families in your program. It can be as simple as serving apples or other crunchy fruits or vegetables at lunch or snack or planning a taste test of apples or other crunchy vegetables and fruit at pick-up with children and families voting for their favorite. Your event can be anytime during October
