Tawana Redmon- Minor is a lead educator at United Community Schoolhouse in Boone County who graduated with her associate degree in early childhood education in May 2024.
‘T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI has been a huge blessing for me to accomplish many of my life goals. I am now a first-generation college graduate, and I am happy to be able to model for my children that it is never too late to complete your goals. Twice in my life I tried to go to college and found it unaffordable. I did not want a lifetime of debt or to leave debt behind for my loved ones. This scholarship has provided me with so much like the joy and pride from my accomplishment. The T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI staff helped me through several hurdles with advice and encouragement. Their support gave me the will to continue with my education. Because of T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI, I not only have my Associates degree, but I will continue on to get my Bachelor's, Master's, and hopefully one day my Doctorate. Thank you for helping me reach my goals.
