Tammy Dodd is a director at Northland Early Education Center in Clay County who recently earned her BA degree using the T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI Scholarships.

‘I am the Director of Programs at Northland Early Education Center. I have been with this nonprofit organization since 2008. I initially joined as an assistant teacher, seeking opportunities for professional growth. 

In 2017, I was offered a lead teacher position along with a scholarship through T.E.A.C.H MISSOURI. This opportunity allowed me to earn my Associate degree in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education and Development in 2019. The support from both my employer and T.E.A.C.H. MISSOURI enabled me to further my education and excel in my field. As a result, I received the Student Excellence Award for my dedication to continuing education in early childhood from Metropolitan Community College - Penn Valley.

In 2021, I was promoted to Assistant Director of Programs while taking college courses at Park University. In May 2023, I graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. Completing my degree has allowed me to share my knowledge and experiences with my colleagues. Most recently, in December 2023, I was promoted to Director of Programs.

I highly recommend T.E.A.C.H MISSOURI to anyone wanting to advance their career in early childhood education. The scholarship provides tremendous support and their commitment to higher education and professional development is unmatched.’
