New Round of Paycheck Protection Starting Soon

Over 9 million dollars in relief grant funding have been awarded thanks to the assistance of Child Care Aware® of Missouri! We want to help your child care program thrive! Come join a free Zoom session where we walk you through the application process for relief grants.

Last week marked one year of weekly messages to you about child care relief funds! The Office of Childhood continues to stay committed to providing you with up-to-date information on a regular basis. We hope you continue to find these messages helpful too!

Coming Soon! Another round of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) will open early October. This reimbursement opportunity is a great way to help support child care staffing/benefits and other child care business expenses. To be eligible to apply for PPP, a child care provider must:

• Operated at least two (2) months during the period of January 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022; and
• Continue to operate with children enrolled and receiving care at the time of application (not including temporary, COVID-19 related closures); and
• Have an active Child Care Provider Agreement, to receive payment from DESE for eligible children under the Child Care Subsidy Program; or
• Be licensed and meet all of the health and safety requirements of the state subsidy program outlined in section 658E(c)(2)(I) of the Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG) Act (42 U.S.C. § 9858 et seq.).

NOTICE:

Child Care Aware® of Missouri does not administer the grants. Thus, if you have already applied, we do not have access to or the status of your application as our organization does not decide these matters. DESE Office of Childhood administers and awards the grants.
