DESE Office of Childhood has announced the Sustain Child Care Subsidy Operations grant opportunity.
This funding opportunity allows for an incentive to help sustain the operations of child care subsidy providers. The amount of the incentive is dependent upon the child care business accepting subsidy, the child care license status, and the number of children on subsidy attending their program.
Attendance is determined each month based on the child’s attendance at the child care program according to the state’s Child Care Business Information System (CCBIS) data system. Attendance is defined as the child being present in the facility for a portion of one (1) day, it does not include absences or holidays recorded in CCBIS.
Child care programs contracted to receive Missouri state child care subsidy, but not licensed, the program is eligible to receive $100 per child in attendance at the facility for any month from January 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
