Missouri's Child Care Programs

As of the end of October 2021, CCAMO’s database contained 3,036 child care programs around the state. Of those, the breakdown is:

• 2,195 (72.3% of total child care programs) are Center Based Care (or Centers), a facility caring for 20 or more children.
• 129 (4.2% of total child care programs) are Group Homes (or Small Center), a program that has 11 to 20 children and can be at the child care educator’s home OR at a separate facility.
• 712 are Family Child Care (23.5% of total child care programs) are Family Child Care, a program caring for up to 10 children in the child care educator’s home.
