Is your Program Being Accurately Represented?

Written by Child Care Aware® of Missouri | Feb 7, 2022 3:48:22 PM

Updating your program’s profile at least quarterly, and especially when a programmatic change has occurred, is one way you can partner with Child Care Aware® of Missouri to advocate for the needs of child care throughout the state.

We encourage child care and early learning programs to make a routine practice of updating their program’s profile in Child Care Aware of Missouri’s child care referral database. Our database provides you with free marketing for your business and helps educate families about your child care program.

Correct program information also ensures that we can educate stakeholders, policymakers, and legislators with the right information about the early childhood landscape throughout Missouri.

Here are some common things stakeholders may want to know about child care in their area that comes from our database –

  • How many programs offer before- and after-school care?
  • Is there transportation available to any programs in our community?
  • How many spots do we have for infants and toddlers?
  • Are programs in our community using a specific curriculum?
  • Do we have programs that offer evening, overnight, or weekend care?

Make sure your program is being accurately represented and that those making decisions for the businesses, services, and wellbeing of your community have the right information to do so.

Visit our website and use the ‘Update Your Program’s Profile’ link to log in.
