Help Us Inform Policymakers!
Data is an important decision-making tool for our state’s legislators, policymakers, and stakeholders. As a statewide non-profit operating a child care referral database, we are able to help inform these decision-makers on the current landscape of early childhood and child care in Missouri.
One way you can partner with us to advocate for the needs of child care and early learning throughout our state is to keep your program’s information up-to-date in the child care referral database. This helps us to educate policy-makers on many aspects of the current state of early childhood education, like:
- Where are the child care deserts?
- How much infant/toddler care exists in a specific area?
- Are programs currently able to operate at their full capacities?
- Do the schedules of care in an area line up with the economic needs?
- Do programs have the necessary accommodations to serve adequately children with special needs?
- What is the average waitlist time for care?
Take a moment to review your program’s information in our database. Visit our website at https://mochildcareaware.org/child-care-educators/ and click the ‘Update Your Program’s Profile’ link. If you need login help, call or email us at 314-535-1458 (option 2) or referralcenter@mochildcareaware.org.
