Healthy Habits Start Small

Written by Child Care Aware® of Missouri | Apr 7, 2026 3:00:36 AM

Small changes in daily activity and nutrition can make a big difference in children’s health. Simple steps, like adding more fruits and vegetables to meals, offering water instead of sugary drinks, and incorporating short bursts of active play, help build healthy habits that can last a lifetime. These manageable shifts support children’s growth, energy, and overall well-being, while setting the stage for lifelong healthy choices.

Go Nutrition and Physical Activity Self-Assessment for Child Care (NAPSACC) offers hundreds of resources with ideas for increasing physical activity, creating farm-to-ECE experiences, and trying new recipes. Child care providers consistently share how much they love these practical tools. Would you like the opportunity to access these resources and start making small changes that build healthier habits for the children in your program?

It’s not too late to join our spring group! Limited openings are available to start your Go NAPSACC journey.
