Healthy Foods, Happy Children
Early childhood is a critical time to build healthy habits.
Good nutrition is not just about filling tummies; it is about fueling young minds and bodies for growth, learning and play. Healthy meals and snacks give children the energy to explore, focus on tasks, and develop strong bones, muscles and brains.
Early childhood is a critical time to build healthy habits. Offering a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein helps children develop a taste for nutritious foods, while supporting overall well-being. Consistent mealtimes and balanced portions teach routines, patience and mindful eating.
Nutrition plays an important role in behavior and learning. Children who eat well are more alert, better able to manage emotions and ready to engage with peers and teachers. By prioritizing good nutrition caregivers and educators give children the tools to grow strong, think clearly and thrive inside and outside the classroom.
