Healthy Beginnings: Child Care Making a Difference

We are excited to share that 18 child care programs are currently participating in the Go NAPSACC project.

Participating programs are exploring new ideas and receiving personalized support to increase children’s physical activity and improve nutrition. They also benefit from individualized technical assistance and high-quality resources available through the NAPSACC website and Show Me Child Care Resources.

What is Go NAPSACC?

  • Go NAPSACC (Nutrition and Physical Activity Self-Assessment Child Care) is an online self-assessment tool developed by the University of North Carolina.
  • The program helps child care providers improve nutrition and physical activity practices for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
  • Go NAPSACC includes seven focus areas; participants in this project are asked to complete just one.
  • After achieving two selected goals, participants receive a $75 gift card from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services as a reward for your progress. from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services as a reward for your progress.
