Discover recipes, resources, and simple strategies through NAPSACC
Join this engaging, resource-filled opportunity to explore fresh ideas, healthy recipes, and easy practices that can create lasting change in your program.
Child Care Aware® of Missouri is proud to continue its partnership with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to offer tools and strategies that support children’s physical activity and healthy nutrition habits. This small-scale project requires minimal time but can make a meaningful impact on the children, families, and staff in your program.
Participants will use the online Nutrition and Physical Activity Self-Assessment for Child Care (NAPSACC), developed by the University of North Carolina, to compare current practices with best practices for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. While NAPSACC includes seven sections, participants in this project will complete just one self-assessment module, which takes approximately 10–15 minutes. After completion, the platform helps generate personalized goals and provides helpful resources, ideas, and even new recipes to support healthier practices.

You will not go through this process alone. Each program will be paired with a Technical Assistance Specialist who will provide individualized support and guidance throughout the process. Your TA Specialist will work one-on-one with your program to help you set and achieve your goals. Once your program successfully completes two goals, you will receive a $75 Kaplan gift card provided by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
If you are interested in participating in the project, please contact Lauri Choate, Director of Training at lauri@mochildcareaware.org or 314-754-1603.
