Missourians Value Child Care and Early Childhood Investments

Kids Win Missouri recently commissioned a poll to learn about Missouri voters’ opinions on issues impacting children, families, and communities. Kids Win Missouri is a coalition of organizations and individuals who support the health, education, safety, and development of children and their families in Missouri.

The poll was conducted between October 3 and 5, 2023 by Victory Enterprises, who surveyed 600 likely Missouri general election voters on key issues impacting children, families, and communities. The survey has a margin of error of 4.0%.

90% Agree. Child care supports businesses and the local economy. More than 90% of Missourians agree that having childcare options for families helps recruit and retain businesses and supports our local economy. 

86% Agree. Early childhood education helps kids succeed in school. More than 86% of Missourians agree that students who receive quality early childhood education have a better chance to succeed in elementary and high school.

72% Agree. Early childhood education reduces crime. 72% of Missourians agree that increasing access to quality early childhood education will help reduce crime in communities.
