Supporting Families in Their Time of Need

Written by Child Care Aware® of Missouri | Jul 7, 2025 4:12:05 PM

Parenting is rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming, especially during times of stress, uncertainty, or crisis. Whether you’re facing a personal emergency, dealing with a mental health challenge, or just trying to hold everything together, you are not alone.

At Child Care Aware® of Missouri, we’re here to support your family, not just with child care, but with connections to resources that can help you through life’s hardest moments.

When Life Feels Heavy, Support Is Available

We believe families deserve access to resources that help them feel safe, supported, and seen. If you or someone in your family is in crisis or struggling emotionally, there are trusted places to turn for help.

Visit our Crisis Resources page to find:

  • Domestic violence shelters and hotlines
  • Reporting suspected abuse or neglect
  • Support for homeless children through Missouri’s school districts

Supporting Your Mental Health Matters

Through our Mental Health Resources page, you can explore:

  • Suicide prevention and mental health crisis lines
  • Community Mental Health Centers
  • Help for substance use or mental illness
  • Perinatal and postpartum depression resources

When parents are supported emotionally, children benefit too. You deserve to feel strong, connected, and cared for.
