When families need more hands-on support, you can connect them to a Regional Community Partner (RCP). RCPs are local organizations that operate as an integral part of the Missouri Childhood Resource and Referral (MCRR) service. They are not state employees, but they work in close partnership with MCRR to provide trusted, community-based assistance.
RCPs are strategically located in areas with high subsidy participation and strong community need. If you serve families in one of these regions, you can confidently recommend an in-person visit for additional support.
This option is especially helpful for families who have limited access to technology, feel overwhelmed by online systems, or benefit from a slower, one-on-one pace when completing subsidy applications or renewals. Face-to-face support allows families to ask questions in real time, review documents together, and move through the process with clarity and confidence.
Like MCRR call center specialists, RCP staff stay current on DESE guidance and subsidy updates. This gives you confidence that when you refer a family for in-person assistance, they receive accurate, up-to-date information aligned with the most recent requirements.
In addition to subsidy navigation, RCPs connect families to local community resources, like diapers, food banks and mental health resources.
When a family needs extra support, you do not have to carry that alone. MCRR and our Regional Community Partners are ready to help.
