It's STILL Crunch Time!

There’s still time to have your own Missouri Crunch Off!

The Goddard School in Oakville held their Missouri Crunch Off by providing a variety of fresh, crunchy vegetables for the children and families to try. They loved it! Kelley Nelson, Director, worked with a local farmer’s market to purchase the vegetables. They had sugar snap peas, radishes, green beans, cauliflower, peppers, among other delicious items. The children voted on what they liked and didn’t like as much. They made crowns to be King and Queen Crunch. Kelley said, “It was a great opportunity to have deeper conversations about nutritious foods and involve our families in those conversations.”

The Missouri Crunch Off is organized by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to celebrate National Farm to School month. You can make your event a full day of events or serving apples or other crunchy fruits and vegetables at lunch or snack

This is not something you would be working on alone. Your program will have an assigned Technical Assistance Specialist that will provide technical assistance through FaceTime, Zoom, or a similar platform. Your TA Specialist will give your program one-on-one support to help you achieve your goals. Once you have reached two goals, you will receive a $75 Discount School Supply gift card.
