Child Care Licensing Updates: Join an Upcoming Informational Session

The Missouri Office of Childhood (OOC) is continuing its work to implement Executive Order 25-15, issued by Governor Mike Kehoe, with a focused effort to update child care licensing rules across the state. These updates are designed to reflect valuable input gathered during previous stakeholder listening sessions and to ensure Missouri’s child care system remains responsive, effective, and supportive of providers and families.

To support transparency and engagement, OOC staff will host a series of informational sessions statewide. These sessions will provide a high-level overview of proposed changes and offer an opportunity for child care professionals, stakeholders, and community members to learn more about what’s ahead.

Sessions will be held in multiple locations to maximize accessibility:

  • March 31 – Chesterfield Family YMCA, Chesterfield (12:00–2:00 p.m.)
  • March 31 – St. Louis County Library – Weber Road Branch, St. Louis (6:00–8:00 p.m.)
  • April 1 – Cape Girardeau Public Library, Cape Girardeau (1:00–3:00 p.m.)
  • April 7 – The City House, Independence (1:00–3:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m.)
