You Were the Voice of Change!

Child Care Aware® of Missouri has listened to the voices of licensed family child care providers and is excited to announce a new program to meet your needs!

CCAMO is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Courtney Graves as the new Statewide Director of the Family Child Care Network Pilot. CCAMO continues to advocate for safe, quality care while taking improved steps to gain a better understanding from the perspective of licensed child care programs around the state. Courtney has a comprehensive knowledge of Early Childhood Education and extensive experience in relationship building and professional development. In concert with her commitment to serving those with the greatest need and her vision of Equity and Equality for ALL, she is well equipped for the statewide development of the Family Child Care Network.

Dr. Graves joins CCAMO with over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector. She worked as a Social Services Coordinator, where she developed supportive relationships with childcare providers and provided training as she supported providers’ pursuit of national accreditation. As a Head Start Early Head Start partner, she learned to implement Head Start Performance Standards and regulations, program policies, and procedures. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she led a team of social service providers in creating and delivering supports to children and families in a residential setting.  Graves is the board chair for Emerson YMCA and Vice President of the Ferguson Florissant School Board.

In her new position, Courtney will be working with licensed Family Child Care Providers across the state developing CCAMO’s new Family Child Care Network Pilot. Licensed family child care providers are an essential piece of the child care landscape and are critical drivers of the economy. By joining the network, providers will receive supports and services to help sustain, improve quality and build child care capacity.

We are so excited to elevate the voices of licensed family child care providers across the state through the launch of this pilot under the direction of Dr. Graves. You will hear much more about this pilot very soon. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to Courtney via email at FCCNDirector@mochildcareaware.org and congratulate her on this new position!

We are also recruiting two Program Coordinators to work with Courtney to build this network. Program Coordinators must have licensed family child care experience and are contracted to serve either the western side of the state or the eastern side through this virtual position. You are the key to the success of this pilot. Please feel free to reach out to me or Courtney at any time with your questions and suggestions. Thank you again for all you do for the children in your care!
