You now have a second chance to make it active again without starting the credentialing process from the beginning.

The Council for Professional Recognition has launched a limited-time CDA® Renewal Amnesty, allowing educators whose CDA expired as far back as January 1, 2016, to renew their credential if they meet the current renewal requirements. This special opportunity is available July 6, 2026, through April 26, 2027.

Renewing your CDA helps you continue building your career while demonstrating your commitment to providing high-quality care and education for young children. It also allows you to:

- Advance your career and expand employment opportunities.
- Build on the education and experience you've already earned.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Reinforce your dedication to professional excellence.

If you're considering renewing your CDA, don't wait to get started. You'll need time to complete all renewal requirements, so begin by downloading the free CDA® Renewal Procedures Guide from the Council for Professional Recognition at [https://www.cdacouncil.org/en/cda-renewal-amnesty-program/](https://www.cdacouncil.org/en/cda-renewal-amnesty-program/).

*Need Help Paying for your CDA Renewal?*

The TEACH Missouri CDA Scholarship can help make renewing your CDA more affordable. If you're eligible, scholarship funding is available to assist with CDA renewal costs, making it easier to keep your credential active and continue growing in your profession.

**Visit [teach-mocda.org](http://teach-mocda.org) today** to learn more and apply for a CDA Renewal Scholarship. Don't miss this limited-time opportunity to reactivate your CDA and continue investing in your future and the children you serve.
