Your Opportunity Is Still Here! Did your Child Development Associate® (CDA) credential expire? Don’t start over. Renew it at no cost to you! The Council for Professional Recognition has launched a limited-time CDA® Renewal Amnesty Program, giving eligible early childhood educators an opportunity to bring an expired CDA credential back to active status. If your CDA expired as far back as January 1, 2016, you may be eligible to participate. The Renewal Amnesty Program is available through April 26, 2027, but you must meet the current renewal requirements and submit your application by the deadline. And CCAMO can help you through the CDA Scholarship Project. Eligible Missouri early childhood educators may be able to complete their CDA renewal at no cost to themselves. The scholarship will help cover the CDA renewal application fee, removing one of the biggest barriers to getting your credential active again. Your CDA represents the knowledge, experience, and commitment you have already invested in your career. Renewing means you don't have to start over. You can build on what you've already accomplished. Your CDA can support career advancement, demonstrate your continued commitment to professional excellence, and help you stay aligned with current early childhood practices. The CDA Renewal Amnesty Program is specifically designed to give experienced educators a pathway to reactivate their credential without starting from the beginning.
