*Educator self-care models healthy habits and creates classrooms where children thrive.*

When teachers take care of themselves, children benefit too. Calm, rested, and supported educators create classrooms full of patience, connection, and positivity.

Self-care sets the tone. Simple acts like deep breaths, brief breaks, or moments to reflect model healthy habits for young learners. Children notice, absorb, and mimic these behaviors, learning how to manage emotions and handle stress.

By prioritizing your well-being, you are not just refueling yourself, you are giving young children the tools to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. Strong teachers = thriving children.

Take care of the most important classroom resource—you. Discover simple, realistic self-care strategies for busy educators from the National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
