How Will You Be Crunching?

Renate’s Child Care Academy in St. Louis is a family child care owned by Renate Zahn. Renate and the children participated in the Missouri Crunch last year.  When asked if she would be participating this year, Renate answered enthusiastically, “Absolutely! We had such fun last year!” This year, she plans to build on last year’s apple-themed activities, which included crunching into fresh apples, making homemade applesauce, and baking apple cake.  YUM!

Your Crunch Off event can be as big or small as you like.  Consider serving apples or other crunchy fruits and veggies at lunch or snack time, or hosting a fun taste test at pick-up where children and families can vote for their favorites. Events can take place any time throughout October.
