Funding Opportunity for Kansas City Child Care Programs

Grow fresh opportunities for children and your community! Kansas City child care programs with existing gardens can apply for PLANT Grant funding to expand local food access and garden-based learning.

The City of Kansas City is now accepting applications for the latest funding cycle of the Promoting Local Agriculture & Neighborhood Transformation (PLANT) Grant Program. This grant supports community-based efforts to expand local food production, increase access to fresh, healthy foods, and advance regenerative agriculture.

To be eligible, child care programs must:

• Be located within the Kansas City, Missouri, city limits.

• Have an existing garden that provides fresh fruits and vegetables for meals and snacks and is used for educational activities with children.
