Explore Child Care Benefits for Your Staff

Many child care programs already provide tuition discounts or flexible payment options to help staff access child care. Others have considered offering this type of support but determined the cost was simply too difficult to sustain long term. While these benefits can make a meaningful difference for employees, they often place additional financial strain on programs that are already operating with limited margins.

Child Care Works (CCW) offers a new opportunity for programs to provide child care benefits to staff without carrying the cost alone.

CCW is based on a shared cost model that brings together employers, employees, and public or philanthropic partners to share the cost of care while supporting provider sustainability. Funding for this initiative was approved through the Governor’s budget specifically for this purpose and does not pull from existing child care subsidy funding.

This funding opportunity is available now, making it an important time for child care programs to explore participation in offering this benefit to staff while support and resources are actively being expanded across Missouri.
